At RPM Tech, we are big believers in #reuse and #recycle. So when Michael joined the team and suggested we get a #CNC, we decided to find one that would otherwise have been scrapped or worse. Well, Michael found a 1991 Fadal 4020, good old American machine with a classic CRT screen and ancient, low speed RS-232 serial port… All 10,000 lbs were wheeled in the shop in June.
With some help, and some elbow grease, the 3 axis beast is now purring away, machining cool shapes for our partners and customers. We even machined a grove in an 8’ long extrusion for an architect in New York.
